Davina at 10 months!

My two precious babies' birthdays is just around the corner! Yes can you believe Z is nearing 3y.o? and D nearly 1? Sigh.. and I can still remember when we had just brought them home from the hospital. *sniff sniff..  Nonetheless, here is our little girl's developments.


1) Missy D is still one feisty character. She is completely opposite to her brother. Rough, tough, extremely active and playful, strong-willed, no fear attitude and loves to cry continuously when she doesn't get her way.

2) Her first tooth finally popped out at about 9.5months which is earlier than Z (who had his first tooth at 13months). I tell you even though the tooth has just cut through the gums, she loves to bite me when I'm breastfeeding her. Ouch! I think weaning will be just around the corner for me soon!

3) She is now drinking only 150ml bottled milk formula per day and two feeds of breastmilk in the mornings and night. For breakfast, she typically eats organic oats or Bellamy's organise rice cereal mixed with cooked apples/cooked frozen berries. For lunch/dinner, she has congee mixed w veggies and beef/chicken/pork. For snacks, she loves to eat freezed dried apples and strawberries as well as her rice cracker biscuit and bread (even though she only has one tooth that is not even out yet!). Oh and did I mention she loves to lick her lips with her tongue?

4) She wears size 1-2 clothing & size 5 shoes. She is still on size 3 Pampers nappies/Huggies crawlers.

5) She absolutely hates her car seat. Most babies fall asleep as soon as the car starts, but nope, not her. She loves to cry in the highest volume all the way in our journey home in the car if she's super tired and can not sleep. So we end up driving like a mad man just to get her home and out of the car seat!

6) Probably at around 7months, she started to wake up every morning at around 1am or 3am wanting a feed. Now she's just used to waking up that time that Mr M & I are completely zombied out every morning and you wonder why we're always running late to work! Putting her to sleep is a dreadful task at night cos it takes min half hour to passify her! She has three sleeps in the day at 11am, 2pm & 5pm.
Then, my two babies usually sleep around 9pm and wake up around 7amish.

7) Mei mei now knows how to 'pai pai shou' and do the 'gong xi gong xi' sign. She also know where the fish poster is in my folks place if you ask her. She will be happy to point it to you at the right direction.

8) She loves to play games. If we put her next to us to sleep and if she wakes up before us, she will whack you on the face until you wake up. Annoying but cute. She also likes to play immitation games with you. She will exclaim all of a sudden and if you do it back to her, she will then do it back to you etc etc even if it's 3am she still wants to play! She is extremely ticklish around her tummy and will laugh in hysterics if her bah bah kisses her in her tummy!

9) She has ezcema on both sides of her face. It only happened when she was started on solids. I suspect she is allergic to not only eggs but wheat too. We are having to put socks on her hands when she goes to sleep just to stop her from scratching because once, she scratched the side of her face so hard that it bled all over her pilliow. The scratch was so deep that it even got infected and she needed antibiotic cream to be put on her face to prevent permanent scarring. Sigh..

10) The one person she absolutely admires without a doubt is her brother. She will stop drinking her milk if she hears the sound of her brother coming. She always smiles every morning when she sees her brother next to her. She always hold his hand when they're both sitting in the car next to each other. She always laugh if her brother laughs and similarly cries if her brother cries... Her brother is her hero...
