Zachariah at 33 months:
1) Zachariah can now hold a conversation with you. He can put words into sentences although sometimes it still doesn't make any sense. lol
2) He is extremely shy, always hides or wants mama/bah bah to hold him if a stranger comes to the house. For some reason, he is petrified of square tiles. The bigger, the scarier it is for him. He wouldn't be able to walk unless we were holding his hand. We also discovered when he was about 30months that he was scared of brown people on TV but not in person. Isn't that funny?
3) He has improved in his swimming a lot! He no longer uses the air-filled type of floaties but instead uses the foam type floaties and can swim all by himself without me holding him. Mama is so proud :)
4) He loves his mei mei a lot. Every morning when they wake up and I put mei mei next to his bed, they're usually smitten with one another.. touching each other faces and then laughing into hysterics. It's such a precious sight to watch! When I put them in the play pen, they play very well together for at least half and hour.
5) Most of Zachariah's size 2 clothes are really small for him now. He now wears size 3 & 4 clothing and size 8-9 shoes
6) Z has a very beautiful personality. He is very soft, kind hearted, placid, well mannered and a very well behaved boy in general. We had never had any terrible twos with him. Each time if I say no, you can not touch, he will immediately not touch. No questions asked. None of him touching again just to 'test' you out. I found that if I explain things to him as to why you can't do certain things, it helps him to understand better and therefore he will listen to the advice.
7) He loves to sing, play music and listen to music and get his parents to read to him.
8) His favourite things to watch are: You tube - ABC phonics, ABC songs, Nursery Rhyme songs, In the night garden, Timmy time, Giggle and Hoot, Postman Pat, Bob the builder & Veggie Tales
9) He knows how to read about twenty words
10) He has photographic memory of the places we've been to. He surprises us each time when we drive past it and he would point to it and say 'mama/bahbah, we ate there etc etc'. Even if we went to the restaurant in pitch black night time, the next morning, he can still point to the restaurant and tell me that we've dined that. Children are amazing!
11) Some of the sweetest things Zachariah has done are: a) When he saw that I was so busy feeding D and had no time to eat my breakfast, he stopped watching his DVD shows and walked up to me to feed me pancakes, one mouth at a time. He would stand there until I had finished eating and then feed me another mouthful. He's just the sweetest kid!
b) Whenever D coughs, Zachariah would walk up to her and pats her gently on her chest or if he's sitting next to her in the car, he would do the same. It's such a common occurence now that D even knows how to pat her own chest when she coughs. So cute to watch too!
c) Whenever D starts to drool, Zachariah would go grab a tissue and wipe his mei mei's mouth. My heart just melts every time.
d) Every time Mr M comes back and kisses his son and if I happen to be standing near them, Z would always ask Mr M to also kiss me usually by forcing two of our heads together (yes he did this when he was 18months and still does it! :) Then he would put his face in the middle of us so that we can give him a sandwich kiss! Occasionally, if Mr M kisses his son, Z would then walk up to me to also kiss me and then he would go find his little sister to also kiss her too. He's such a sweet guy. I'm pretty sure his future wife will be one lucky girl!
