Our princess of the house finally walked at the age of 16months & 1wk! This compared to Z who walked at 13months! I was getting a little worried when she refused to walk until my colleague said her little sis walked at 17 months. Ahh.. so I relaxed a little. And just a week prior to Christmas, our miss inquisitive finally stood up, took a few steps and has never since crawled from that day onwards. In fact, she loves walking so much that every day, she looks like she has a full agenda of exploring the entire surrounding around her.
Here are some of her major developments:
1) We discovered that she is also allergic to fish as well as prawns (although her allergy test did not show this). I think she is allergic to salmon as well because as soon as she eats this, she starts to get eczema all over her hands. Sigh.. So not only can she not eat eggs, she can't eat seafood either! oh dear.. I really hope she will break out of this in her later years.
2) She now can say 'yeah' (for yes), 'kaka' - poo poo/wee wee, 'xie xie' thank you, mine, me, up, out, down, gone, no, poh poh, gong gong, bah bah, mah mah, gor gor, jie jie, jiu jiu, ah mah, yea yea, bao bao (carry me), bom bom (bath), nei nei, go now, car, owl, woah woah (dog), star, mao (cat), ah-ter (water), wet wet & more (cos she always want more food!).
3) She understands a lot of words now. If I ask her to go over to x to pick it up, she will. If I ask her a question, she will respond in her own unique way.
4) She loves the water. If she sees it, she thinks it's a big ocean bath tub.. which is at times scary b/c you really do need to keep watch on her when near water as she is not at all scared of it. Hmm.. I think someone needs to start swimming lessons soon.
5) She loves to eat and feed herself too. Some times I really wonder how she fits anything in that little tummy. After her bowl of say pasta, she will then eat two bowls of fruits and then asks for more. She may even drink milk after that and if she sees you eating, she will also ask for it. Our little miss piggy. Her fav food are: pasta, macaroni cheese, cheese, yoghurt, ice cream, grapes, hot chips, watermelon, mango, raisin bread, pancakes and fish fingers.
6) She loves to wake up every morning and go to her 'toy kitchen' that she shares with her brother. Both of them will be busy taking out all the crockery and cutleries from the stove and all the 'ingredients' and pretend to serve it to their mah mah and bah bah.. super cute!
7) Her sleeps consists of two naps. Usually from 11am-12noon, then again from 2pm-4pm and then finally 9pm - 7:30am. She now seldom wakes up in the middle of the night (touch wood). Golly gosh, I am so not looking forward to changing her bed routine when she is moved out of the cot and into the bed! Oh please let her still sleep through the night..
8) She loves everything girly. She would go to my WIR and grab out bangles which she would put as anklet, necklace, earrings, hair ties, anything that blings, she wants to also put on her. So funny to see how differently programmed ag girl is compared to a boy as Z was never like this and instead he was all about cars and another boyish toys such as leggos too!!
9) She loves to watch anything that consists of dancing and singing.
10) And similarly like me when I was young, if her bro ever takes any of her things, immediately she would cry or scream in order to get our attention so that Z would return it back to her. Very clever she is!
