....ssuuurrrrPRISE!

It was Glenn's Surprise 30th! Wongie had told us gals about it (about 3months ago) that she was going to throw her darling husband a Big surprise 30th b'day bash.. everyone say 'Awwww...'.

So finally the day had arrived, my high school chicks had to help Wongie bake her cake & do ALL the shopping the night before at Chai's house at like 9:30pm-10:30pm cos Wongie had to keep all this behind G's back! Good work girls!

This afternoon, Mr M & I were given the task to go to Chai's house & pick up the MASSIVE choc ruffles cake (yes it was completely made out of biscuit & cream only & it tasted good!). Now it sounded easy right? WRONG! My goodness, when I saw the cake, I was like.. what the? How on earth are we suppose to bring this cake with us when 1. We could not put foil to prevent all the chocolate dust from falling into our car not to mention to keep the rain from dropping on it cos the foil would damage the icing on the cake. 2. The cake was soooo long that it wouldn't fit the back of our car (as Z's childseat in the centre of the car was in the way!) so I had to hold it in the front seat while Mr M had to drive very slowly b/c the cake went over the gear stick (thank God we weren't driving a manual car!).

Anyway, after we successfully mastering the skill of transfering the cake to Wongie's place, the girls had to make all the salads for the night while the boys had to set up the barbie & putting up the lights! We were given 2hrs to finish all this b/c Glenn was to arrive home & did we make it in time? You bet we did!

Finally at 6:45pm, Glenn came home in the dark to approx 40-50 of us screaming at the top of our lungs 'Surprise!' and unsurprisingly Glenn did not look one bit surprised! He knew something was fishy esp since his darling wife was making such pathetic excuses just so she could arrange to get away from him to prepare for his b'day. One of the lame excuse was that Linda's hubby had hit her so Wongie had to go and console her (LOL! Gullable Glenn believed her of course ;) but then the lame excuses just kept on going....

Anyway, Happy Birthday Glenn! We wish for you that your 3rd decade of life will be even more memorable & fulfilling than the last!
