Zachariah at 15 months!

Our little munchkin has turned 15months! He is growing by the day, his personality bursting out to shine. We just love to be with him. He now interacts with you & boy I must say, this part of parenting is truly so rewarding.

Here are his developments:

1) Z now have 3.5 teeth. His top 1.5 teeth came out just after he turned 15months. He was in a lot of pain. Poor thing. One afternoon, he couldn't sleep & cried constantly. It was very abnormal b/c usually he would stop crying but this time no. Then after 10mins of crying I had realised it must be his top left tooth trying to cut out. True enough I saw some blood in his saliva as Z had scratched his gums. Now our little one looks like a rabbit in the making :)

2) Z loves to play with the plugs/powerpoint. We have childproof everyone of our power points. But it still doesn't stop his fascination. Every day without fail, he would make his way to one of these power points & switch it on & off or he would try and pull out the plastic protection cover.

3) Changing Z nappies is always a challenging task. Without fail, he would bounce up and down on his back & bum. This makes strapping nappies on his waist extremely difficult. Not only that, some times, he would squirm his way out and run away from us without us putting on his pants! My little man has no shame...

4) I've noticed Z now likes to touch material while he's drinking his milk. When we were young, Mr M loved touching the corners of a pillow while drinking his milk. As for me, I loved touching the middle seam of my bolster. But for our little one, he loves touching the frills of my boomerang pillow. Too cute!

5) Z now loves to go shopping. He would walk all over the shopping centre on his wobbly feet. Touch this, touch that. Eat this eat that. There were two occurrences when I had nearly walked out of the store without paying for the secret item that he had taken while playing in his pram! *faints*

6) Most of our friends tell us, the older he gets, the more he's beginning to look like me! Ha! finally.. music to my ears! But then, I would go to another dinner party where other group of friends would say 'wow Z looks 100% just like his father'. Grrr....

7) Z has become very mischievous nowadays. When we say 'no' to him, he would deliberately test our patience by doing the wrong thing again. He's been caught smearing half a tub of sudo nappy rash cream all over his face, head, hands & legs looking like a Chinese version of Michael Jackson. We didn't know to laugh or be mad at him! Then there was the time when he took a full box of tissues & pulled half a box out when we were not looking. He was surrounded by a pool of tissues. Luckily I found it amusing & had took some shots before 'pretending' to be mad at him.

8) Z knows how to use the remote control to turn on & off the TV, use my mob to turn on & off the tones, switch the radio on to dance, switch the light on and off, pick up the phone and say in a Japanese accent 'hai!' & hangs up incorrectly back on the cradle & us not knowing! Basically, he's now very inquisitive & mischievous and so cute at the same

9) Z now knows how to do a lot of actions that his wai gong/poh & myself have taught him. To date he knows how to do: gong xi gong xi, pai pai shou, peeka boo, sayang daddy, praise the Lord, he can point to where his ear & nose is and points to himself whenever I ask him 'sui shi mama de bao bei?' (who is mummy's precious one?), say 'good' always with this left thumb up, give ppl hi 5's, do the action to no more, bai bai, friend/blow kiss & thank you. When we reply him with 'clever boy' because he had done the actions we told him to, he would automatically clap & make a cheering noise to himself. So funny!

10) Whenever he accidentally hurts himself, my parents have taught him to not cry and instead hit the object that he has fallen on. So at times, it's rather amusing seeing Z hitting the ground when he he falls & then he would say 'da da da' (hit hit hit) at the same time.

I can see so clearly now that he's growing to be like a boy. His unlimited energy, inquisitiveness, always up to no good - are all traits of being a boy.

Even though at times he steps on my toes, I must admit, he will & always be mummy's little boy :)
