Zachariah at 16 months!

*Yin Zi yiyi, this will be my last time wearing the baby Gap jumper you gave me cos it's getting a bit tight since I'm a big boy now. I hope you like this photo taken just for you*

Zachariah is 2 months away from being 1.5y.o! He's such a boy now and very clever too!

Here are his developments:
1) Z still has 4 teeth but he's a better biter. He loves food cut up and placed in his bowl. He would use his hands to pick each up and put it in his mouth. He doesn't know how to eat in portions yet though. If I give him a banana, he would put the whole thing in his mouth if he could. He doesn't know how to bite it in proportion to how much his mouth can fit. It's sometimes really cute to watch but most of the time, it's horrifying! Our little man with his huge mouth! Talking about his mouth, he now has bad breath in the morning for the first time ever - a sign that he's really a little man now as opposed to a baby when they have no smell in their breath at all.

2) He loves cars! His poh poh (MIL) takes him in her car every time he's over to pretend to drive. He even gets to turn on wipers, indicators, the lot! Because of that, whenever we're at the shopping centres, he always point to the vending machine cars. So we finally let him have a go. Oh oh.. big mistake! After we took him off, he was throwing his tantrums wanting to get back on.

3) When he throws tantrums, he normally exclaims 'Ah Deng!' & then immediately rolls his head backwards. Other times, he would take his hand & smack it on the ground or he would take his toys and throw it on the ground. I can't believe throwing tantrums is innate in each child b/c he's never had the opportunity to witness children throwing tantrums before!

4) Z's fav words are: mama, bah bah, woah woah (doggy), apple, hai, lilerlilerlilerliler (Z does this funny tongue twisting slurring noises repeated 100 times! so cute!).

5) Z now understands words such as: Go get this for mummy, he would go and get it, Where is Spot (his fav book of all time), he would go get it even if it's 2 rooms down & then bring it back to me so that I can read it to him. If I ask him 'where is helicopter?', he would walk to the kitchen & show me the helicopter magnet on the fridge. If I say, 'sayang daddy', he would go up to Daddy's head & stroke him gently (he tries to do it gently but of course end up more like smacking daddy's head.. so funny!). If his daddy says 'kiss daddy', he would lean his forehead forward for daddy to kiss him. It's such a precious moment.

He loves brushing teeth time. He would see me with my power brush & automatically go reach for the 2nd drawer to get his own brush. I must admit, he bites the brush more than he brushes it :)

7) Apparently, he looks more and more like his wai gong now? Perhaps it's b/c they're spending more time together than before. I've always thought they both have the same nose ever since Z was born... Correct right?

8) He's discovered the playground and how much fun the swing and slipper slides are. Since we are now enjoying Summer where daylight is longer, we would try and walk to the two different parks near our house. He absolutely loves it!

9) He loves pushing things - Everything that has wheels or even no wheels he would pull it & push it every where around the house. From prams, to his bikes, to luggage, to his wheely bug, the lot!

10) Remember how I was saying how mischievous Z has become? well the other day, daddy was trying to find where his iphone, Omega watch & his LV wallet was.. I even had to help him look as daddy was running late. To our bewilderment, we finally found it lying all over the staircase. Z had taken all of them & threw it down the stairs cos he likes to see it rolling down the stairs.. Where did he learn that from? Arghhh!
