Char's House Moving Day

This morning, Charlene came to pick us up at 8:30am ready to borrow all of our hands & muscles (well ok then not so much mine but Mr Ming's). The mission was to move all of her rubbish accumulated from over the past 2 years from Serangoon all the way to her new place in Tenah Merah with only 2 cars, 3 girls & 1 guy. Praise God we managed to fit it all in the end.

Of course, there is no house moving if there was no food involved. After this was done, then all five of us (Mr & Mrs M, Char, her b/f Mark & her mum aunt Katherine) went to Katong for the famous raw fish porridge & their very very very tasty won ton mee. The breakfast was a very great culinary experience!

After breakkie, off we went into Char's new place to CLEAN! The place was partially renovated hence dust was piled up everywhere! All the other church members join in the good cause at about 11am. We had lots of good fun completing the task as a team. Not only that, when we all left Char's new place, the apartment really looked brand new! A big pat on the back to all the 9 ppl who worked so hard in the heat!

Of course, our eating feast didn't end there. After all the mission was completed, we went to Katong again to makan Peranakan food at Charlie's. Boy was that another culinary experience! So very different to that of Melaka! All in all, it was a very tiring day from both cleaning, shifting & eating =)
