Mrs Ming of course!! ;)
So as you can see with the photo above, the darker yellow = mine = sweetest ever pineapple; the pale yellow = Mr Ming = as sour as a lemon and yes I'm making the poor guy eat it all! serves him right for boasting about how good of a pineapple picker he is!
Tip to buying the sweetest pineapple:
Now if you're Mr Ming, you will be from the school of thought that looks at the top stem of a pineapple to determine if they're sweet. So the theory goes, if the leave is easy to pull out and looks a bit yellowish, then it means they're sweet.
But, if you're smart like Mrs Ming, you will be from the other school of thought that looks at the bottom of the pineapple to see if they have a tinch of yellow on it. The more yellow it is at the bottom, means they're more yellow on the inside which ultimately means the pineapple is damn sweet! However make sure it's not too yellow otherwise that means it's over riped!
