Zachariah at 6 months!

Our little Zachariah has grown soooo much both physically and mentally. I am speechless by his level of development! I must say, he is now soooo much fun & we really do enjoy his cheekiness.

With a blink of an eye, he is now like a boy! no longer this baby that needs to be held to drink milk. Now he sits in his own chair to eat his food! Both Mr M & I are amazed by his transformation. Time really do fly when you're having fun ;)

Anyway, here are his milestones:

1) Everytime you put Z on his back, he flips over to his tummy and starts to look around. Because of his love for tummy time, there is now less nappy rash under his neck.

2) Z now loves to eat. He has since tasted: pears, apples, oranges, pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, spinach, beans, brocolli, rice, rice cereal & carrots. Along with his solids, he is drinking 150ml of milk as his 'dessert' with his every meal. As much as we love watching him eat, we really do pay for it later when we unwrap his stinky nappy! *faints*

3) Z loves to sleep with his face touching the pillow. He can no longer sleep facing up without anything touching his face. I remember this change happened overnight & ever since then, he has never slept without a pillow/bolster/blanket touching his face! How bizarre!

4) Our little munchkin now weighs 8.1kg - his weight gain from previous month has slowed down which is quite normal. His length is now 66.5 (up from 3.5cm since his 4mths check up) & head circumference is 46cm at which are all at the 60th percentile (above avg).

5) Another great milestone is that Z can now sit up for a long period of time without flopping over. His neck/back support is very strong now.

6) When I say to him 'kiss mummy, muaks muaks', he would always look away and smile & then squeal acting shy shy towards his mum. So cute!

7) And oh, did I mention just how good he is at talking and making all sorts of noises? He even knows how to pick up girls now ;) Here he is managing to score with our good friend's daughter - Naomi (who is 3months old).
