Melt - The World Cafe

We had a very lazy Saturday. We woke up at 10am and lazed around until about 6pm. We decided to hit the town for a nice meal. So like usual, my hubby went onto his fav site (literally Mr M would spend hours browing this site as his fav pastime) to do his research & an hour later we were at Melt - The World Cafe in Mandarin Oriental hotel in Esplanade for a buffet dinner.

The food was splendid. Undoubtedly one of our fav restaurants! Now if you're like me and has a sweet tooth, then this restaurant is definitely for you. Their dessert consists of a Waffle Making Chef on site, chocolate fountain, all-you-can-eat ice kacang (DIY), all sorts of mini cocktail desserts, premium ice cream (x 4 flavours), chocolates, all you can fruits (cut & whole ones). I really went crazy in the dessert bar that's for sure ;) C'mon it's not me.. it's baby Minga's fault ;)

A Fruit Feast plus Do-It-Yourself Ice Kacang!

Nonya Kueh anyone?

The Damage came up to $160 incl of Tax for the 2 of us. However if you have a Citibank/UOB credit card, you get 15% off the bill so we ended up paying $140. No bad at all! No doubt we will really miss all the stunning buffets in SG cos you can't find this type of variety & its quality in Melb that's for sure!

What a pretty architecture inside the Mandarin Oriental!

Finally.. after a full meal, we went for an evening's stroll along the Esplanade.. What a way to end a relaxing Saturday!
(I hope I don't get into trouble with my gynae... yikes!)
